The Humanitarian Foundation “Degdar” received an official invitation to attend the Wheelchair Sport Dance Championship of Kazakhstan, held in the new sports complex “Mangystau-Arena” in Aktau on June 17-18, 2017.
The purpose of visiting the Championship was to see the development of this kind of sport and understand the needs that organizers and Paralympic athletes face.

The Wheelchair Sport Dance Championship of Kazakhstan
The Humanitarian Foundation “Degdar” received an official invitation to attend the Wheelchair Sport Dance Championship of Kazakhstan, held in the new sports complex “Mangystau-Arena” in Aktau on June 17-18, 2017.
The purpose of visiting the Championship was to see the development of this kind of sport and understand the needs that organizers and Paralympic athletes face.
The athletes showed a high level of professionalism and strong personality that help in the achievement of set goals.
The participants of the championship were 25 wheelchair dancers from seven regions and cities of Kazakhstan - Almaty, West Kazakhstan, South Kazakhstan, Aktobe, Zhambyl, Kostanay, Karaganda regions and Astana.
The championship was organized by the Federation of Modern and Sports Dance of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Mayor’s Office of the Mangystau region.
The tournament is rating and gives an opportunity to obtain licenses for the participation in the World Cup and World Championship - 2017. Also, it gives a chance to get categories and join the national team of Kazakhstan.
Currently the Humanitarian Foundation “Degdar” is making efforts to let athletes go to the Wheelchair Sport Dance World Championship - 2017, which will be held in Belgium at the end of October. The Foundation also considers it necessary to support and develop wheelchair sport dances in Kazakhstan.
